Today’s companies are typically asked to prove the history of their products produced and the source of the consumed raw materials. In the feed and food industry, laws and regulations often enforce this process. The primary condition to traceability is accurate registration and storing of all relevant information concerning process and logistical operations within the production facilities. Within OA2track&trace, all operations are focused on producing a batch with its associated batch number. All information in relation to the batch, such as consumed raw materials and process equipment data is registered and stored in a database.
Using this kind of detailed process information and based on user demands and process requirements, any report can be produced using normal database functionality. Therefore, it is possible to produce historical overview, both up and down the production process. In other words, for any lot of (supplied) finished product, the consumed lots of raw materials and how it was produced can be identified (and vice-versa). In this way OA2track&trace enables full traceability.
