One of OA’s certified partners Hint delivered an AML system (Analyser management, Metering and Loading control system) for the pilot plants of STC at Brielle, in The Netherlands.
STC is the leading institute for training Dutch and International process operators and Instrumentation and Control specialist. (www.oefenfabriek.nl). The most typical process units found in the refining and petrochemical industry have been implemented as small scale pilot units that can be operated from a control room using DCS equipment. Like their counterparts in industry, the plants are fully instrumented, controlled and safety protected, to allow realistic training scenarios.
Hint (www.hint.nl) donated an AML application for analyser management to the facilities. The AML system is an implementation of the Shell Amadas technology for validating and managing the performance of process analysers. AML is using Statistical Process Control technology to identify analysers that are not performing within an acceptable margin. (http://www.hintoffice.nl/aml/Content/Start.aspx) STC and Hint will use the AML system to demonstrate the benefits of analyser management as part of the applications at the MES level for the Oil, Gas and petrochemical industries.

OAenterprise is a powerful and comprehensive Industrial Automation, Distributed Process Control, and Operational Intelligence System, which allows users to graphically monitor, control and coordinate all key business and manufacturing processes. For AML applications applications Hint generated a platform of unique OA objects implementing the Amadas functionality.
